The Education Through Cashback (ETC) website has the following functionality
Scottish Sports Futures
I work for a Charity, Scottish Sports Futures, and we have just launched our bespoke website for a new training programme called ETC. Along with my colleague I was introduced to Alan from Contact through our trusted designer and printer (Michael Melvin from Melvin Creative) as we found ourselves with a new training programme with lots of cool resources and needed an easy to use website with a booking system for the training we had developed.
Our target market is busy coaches and youth workers so we knew we wanted something eye catching, easy to navigate and worked as both an information point as well as following a process for booking onto training.
I am limited in my IT knowledge and though like using websites and booking online that’s where my expertise (or lack of) ends. On first meeting with Alan we described in very basic terms what we were after from the site. Alan got it immediately and quickly started telling us how he envisaged it could work.
He spent a good 3 hours asking us questions and finding out more about our programme. We went away with a bit of work to do in sketching out how we wanted to process from someone first accessing the website right through to them gaining post course material.
Alan came back with his much more detailed plan of how it could actually work, in terms we easily understood. He really has been amazing at using his genius to create something new to meet our needs for the site, sometimes dazzling us with the finite detail of how it would work and always being interested in making it as easy to use as possible.
We are truly delighted with our new website and already it has been aired on the 2014 Commonwealth Games legacy newsletter recently released. Alan and his team made last minute changes as we changed our minds, suggested things we could add in or take away which were over and above what we had originally planned all to make the system work for us, and the end user as easy as can be.
Even now as we have launched the site Alan is on hand to help us with any questions we have (there have been a few) and made even more changes as we have people start using the site. He has made what was a ‘mind mappy’ headache for us a truly brilliant reality.
